Welcome to Trinity Hospital Leicester...
If you are aged 60 or over and would like to live in modern, independent and secure sheltered housing accommodation in an excellent location in the heart of historic Leicester, Trinity could well meet all your requirements.
Trinity Hospital is not in fact a "hospital" in the modern sense at all. In its original sense it meant a place offering hospitality and care.
Today it means a modern comfortable housing scheme offering 22 independent flats for the elderly in a safe and secure environment in the heart of the city, next to Castle Park and only a short walk from the city-centre shops and amenities.
Trinity takes its name from its foundation in 1331 by the Earl of Lancaster and Leicester.
You can read more about our historic links with the Duchy of Lancaster here:
We are proud of the historical heritage of Trinity, but we are even more proud of the modern accommodation and facilities we can offer to anyone aged over 60 in the 21st century city of Leicester.
If you would like to learn more about the history of Trinity Hospital from its foundation to the present day a new edition of a very readable history was published in 2013.
